Acting Headshots

How to prepare for your session

MAKEUP:  Please come camera-ready as you normally would for an audition, and bring any makeup you need for touch-ups or different looks.  If you don’t normally wear  makeup, there is no need to do so for your headshots.

If you would like to do multiple makeup looks,  I recommend starting with a lighter look for eyes/lips. There is a bathroom with a sink, and you will have time to touch-up or add darker eye/lip colors in-between set ups.

You are welcome, but definitely not required, to bring a makeup artist if you wish.

HAIR: Style your hair as you normally would for an audition. If your hair is long, I recommend bringing hair clips or ties to get some options with your hair ‘up’.

If you have naturally curly/wavy hair, I recommend wearing it naturally unless you plan to straighten it for each audition. If you would like shots with two very different looks, we may be able to schedule a split session – just ask!

WARDROBE: The more options, the better – please bring 3-6 blouses/shirts. Cool colors tend to work better on camera. Solid blues, blacks, grays, greens are usually good bets.  Avoid busy patterns and any logos/text.

If you would like a full-body photo (I recommend it for those interested in agent submissions or on-camera work),  please bring appropriate shoes.
